After living in Southern California during her early adulthood and spending her childhood in Mexico, Mara settled in Nashville 22 years ago where she and her husband raised two children, became actively engaged in the community and where Mara launched a successful career in real estate in 2000. Her professional real estate experience in Nashville has involved clients of all types, from single professionals to young families and even Fortune 500 relocation clients. Holding a home staging designation and fluent in Spanish, Mara brings a tool box of adaptable skills that make her equipped to meet almost any real estate need. Whether it be a first time buyer or a client seeking their dream home every client benefits from Mara’s vast years of experience.
Due to Mara’s unique qualifications, broad understanding of the city and reputation as a real estate industry leader, Mara was recently tapped by the current Nashville Mayor to serve on the city’s Board of Equalization. This organization holds the responsibility of applying fairness and evenhandedness to property tax assessments across Metro Nashville.
Mara and her husband, a Nashville native, have enjoyed living and working in many parts of the city including the Green Hills, Whitland, and Belle Meade areas. Currently living in the Belmont neighborhood, they have renovated multiple homes and even built from the ground up which adds valuable real-life experience she shares with clients. Mara’s husband works for the largest faith based nonprofit health system in Middle Tennessee where Mara often lends her help as a translator. They have two children: a son who currently lives and works in Nashville and a daughter who is working and living in New York City.
